What can we learn about identity and social media from #TheCircle?

The programme ‘The Circle‘ concludes on Channel 4 tonight. It was a 3 week experiment where contestants have only been able to interact through a custom-built “social media network”. The ‘most popular’ tonight will win £50,000.

I talked to James Poulter, host of the podcast ‘Signal: Where Faith and Media Meet’ about what this means for our understanding of identity in a social media age, what are the moral questions raised, and what can those of faith learn from it?
