Tips for those ‘Back to School’ Photos

This week, Surrey Police are carrying out a social media campaign, encouraging parents to think more carefully about the ‘back to school’ photo’ in front of the front door’. For once this was not a story about ‘don’t do it’, but a ‘take more care’ story. Their campaign was as follows:

I was asked to comment on the story for BBC Surrey. I focused upon the need for increased digital literacy, so users can understand who sees their content, asking permission from children once they are old enough, and gave instructions on how to remove geotagging in a blog post (which also contains the audio extract).
